With so much said about diet and healthy eating, losing weight is still a major dilemma for millions of men and women who can’t seem to shed off enough pounds. But, what is enough pounds and why is losing “enough” weight so difficult?
The fact is, you are who you are, and your weight is not based solely on what you eat, but also on your metabolism, whom your parents are, what your genes are like, and how you live your life. So, if you follow a diet endorsed by someone like Oprah, will you be absolutely certain to lose those extra pounds? We aren’t so sure.

We have been on the road a lot this month, traveling between our home in Baja and family’s homes in Sacramento and Paradise. I have even spent two weeks alone while Chuck attended a family get-together in Texas. Being alone presented it’s own challenges and rewards. I find that when not faced with the routine of the regular meals I was quite content to graze through my days on fresh fruit and yogurt concoctions.

No matter how many articles I read or TV shows I see I continuously need to remind myself, NO MORE DIETS. Yesterday I came across a book about losing weight “Italian Style“. Loving pasta like I do, THIS I had to see for myself! What I discovered was that it was basically the same thing I am already do under a new name. Hendrickson points out that the Italians have an ongoing love affair with food. The savor it, enjoying every bite. This exactly what I learned from my first “think and lose” program with Paul McKenna.
