Hypnosis has been used to institute behavioral changes for quite some time. Although it is unconventional, you may have heard of people undergoing hypnosis to assist in quitting smoking or to overcome chronic pain. The Think and Lose program is based on the success of hypnosis in changing behavior, and the program promises that it will help people overcome poor eating habits and other behaviors that lead them to remain overweight. The creator of the system seems reputable, as the site claims he was the former clinical hypnotherapist working with the American Heart Association; however, this does not make his program effective.
