Some dieters have struggled for years and have not managed to lose much weight at all. They go from one fad diet to the next and get discouraged when it doesn’t work as they were promised. Instead of following the latest trend in wight loss it is far better to stick with a time-tested and proven plan that keeps on working. Avoiding the misinformation you get in the world of fat burning is a good start.

You have probably noticed in magazines and on television that one diet will advocate one approach and another something completely different. Both will have examples of people who lost a lot of weight so it is difficult to know what is going on. Instead of listening to the promises of diet companies you should look at your lifestyle as a whole. By doing this you can set yourself up to get great results and also results that you can keep up for the rest of your life instead of just being a temporary fix.

There really are many ways to shed extra pounds however sticking to some fundamentals should work for almost everyone. Beneath are some easy options that should set you on the appropriate path.

Eat more frequently

This can be a hot topic and one which many people can not imagine to be true. Essentially what you’re doing is eating more often however in smaller quantities. As a substitute of filling up on a number of big meals and snacking in between you eat about 6 wholesome meals all through the day.

This approach allows you to stop you feeling hungry and cut back the probability of snacking. It additionally hurries up the metabolism which can assist with weight loss.

Regular training sessions

This is fairly obvious but most individuals don’t keep on with it. I think the primary reasons are that there are conflicting ideas about health and a variety of fitness plans will not be sensible for the average person.

Most individuals do not need to spend each day at the health club and need a simple step-by-step system that is manageable and works.

The key to this is in the intensity of the workout and because of this it can actually be achieved in a short amount of time. No more long exhaustive cardiovascular sessions of gradual jogging. Pick up the pace and make the routine intense and you can do this in less than half an hour.
.

Avoid bloating

This isn’t mentioned frequently but is an enormous problem. Bloating is not only after an enormous meal but can affect the appearance and feel of your stomach. Making some dietary adjustments can make an impression which will likely be very noticeable to your self and others around you.

Cut out pastries, muffins, candy, fast food, bagels, mushrooms, salted butter and onions. Do this for a week along with a wholesome and modestly portioned diet. Drink plenty of water and see how you feel and look at the finish of it.

You should notice a difference and even get loads of compliments from friends and family.

Those are 3 of the fundamentals of losing weight and are fairly simple to add to your life. Feeling overweight and wishing you could lose those extra pounds can be very stressful and leave a dark cloud of your life.
Also be sure to see more on this from

When you meet your target weight there is such a great sense of accomplishment that you are unlikely to go back to how you were. Try to imagine what it would be like to be in great shape and let that spur you on to great things. You can find out more over at diet solution program. http://dietsolutionprogramnow.com.To find out more go over to fat loss plans

We have been on the road a lot this month, traveling between our home in Baja and family’s homes in Sacramento and Paradise. I have even spent two weeks alone while Chuck attended a family get-together in Texas. Being alone presented it’s own challenges and rewards. I find that when not faced with the routine of the regular meals I was quite content to graze through my days on fresh fruit and yogurt concoctions.

It is impossible to not notice that my recently purchased capris are becoming a bit loose and I actually gave into the temptation to get on the scale. I was delight to see that I had dropped a few more pounds.

On the negative side though is that without Chuck here to workout with I have missed my daily exercises more often. Okay, he’s back now. No more excuses.

When we come to that point where we understand once and for all that dieting just makes us gain weight, then we can quit living our lives as a fat person and release the thin person inside.

Marna Goldstein Thrall has discovered this truth and shares the first steps to learning to accept and love ourselves and letting go of the fat self-image we have held on to for so many years.

Have you ever just browsed or searched YouTube for videos about losing weight? Better yet narrow down that search to “think and lose weight” and you will bypass all those sales pitches for diet pills and exercise equipment. Sure you will find people trying to sell you their programs on how to lose weight without diets, by self-hypnosis or private coaching but if you can look beyond the sale pitch, these videos themselves are a great resource. You don’t have to go sign up for anything or buy a set of CDs. Just tune into one or two of these videos and you will pick up a new technique or boost in your self-image right from the free Youtube video.

It’s kind of like going to the public library or spending the morning in Barnes and Noble reading the books there. They are free to view and your don’t have to buy a thing.

You are also free to pick and choose what you like and don’t like. Take what you want and apply it to your life. Ignore the rest. You don’t have to agree with everyone and you certainly don’t have to follow every bit of advise your given. Find that one gem and feels right to you and go with it.

Tomorrow, next week or next month when you feel like your enthusiasm for life is waning again, go back for another treasure to move on with.

I like this video, Marna presents a simple easy to grasp picture of a life changing concept.

By Deon Du Plessis

If you’ve been on the diet treadmill then you know just how tough it is to lose weight. We all want to look great and we all want to have that body that we know we would be happy with, but why is it that so few people ever get there? Why is it so hard and why can’t we just get on a diet and lose the weight?

I believe that the biggest reason why we can’t lose weight easily is simply because of habits. Habits have a bigger control over our behaviors than most of us care to believe. In motivational books the story of the elephant is often used to explain the power of habits.

When a baby elephant is brought into captivity it has to be tied down with strong chains. It will constantly try to break free from the chain. As time goes by, the elephant will get used to the constrain until the time comes when he would not even try to escape any more. Even when the chain gets replaces by a thread, the elephant can be held down.

Losing weight is very much like this. A lifetime of eating patterns and beliefs about food can tie us down like that. It can exert so much power and control over us that we can’t break free. Even though it’s a weak thread holding us in our old habits, we can’t seem to break free.

Losing weight is very much about breaking habits and breaking free from all those old beliefs about food, health and our bodies that keeps us from making the change and losing the weight. In the end, weight loss is not that hard. Eat well and get some exercise. That’s the whole secret. The challenge is not in knowing what to do, but rather in doing what you already know and this is where changing habits come in.

You will need to make some changes because your current behaviors is what got you to be overweight. Keeping with your current habits will only get you more of what you don’t want. That’s why you have to change the habit first. When you change the habit, you change that automatic behavior and when you change the automatic behavior 99% of the battle is won.

Using willpower and constantly watching your actions will never give you long term results. This is what most diets encourage. It may work for a while, but in the end habit will take over. So, work on your habits and work and on that inner relationship you have about food, your body and your health. As you change this relationship you will start to see things in a new light. When you realize that it’s not a chain that’s tying you down, but a flimsy thread, you can break it and break with the habit.

Have you tried endless crash diets only to wind up frustrated and heavier than ever? It’s well known that dieting doesn’t work over the long term. Although you enjoy the benefits of a leaner body and better health, you feel deprived in the process and so revert to your regular eating habits once the diet is over. Maybe it’s time to try Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT. EFT is a cutting edge energy therapy that uses the acupressure points on the face and body to neutralize the emotional charge that arises with food cravings, stress or negative emotions – all of which can contribute to overweight.

Neutralize Addictive Food Cravings

Food cravings can be effectively neutralized using EFT. The next time you have a food craving, notice how it makes you feel. Do you feel stressed or anxious? In most cases the answer would be “yes” and so this demonstrates how food cravings are brought on by underlying emotional upset rather than some mysterious and uncontrollable urge. With EFT, we treat the underlying emotions and the craving disappears.

Address a Destructive Body Image

Another reason for overweight is poor body image. If a person believes that they don’t physically measure up to the high beauty standards set by fashion magazines or some other to some other standard, they develop a poor body image. And, by the Law of Attraction, if they focus on being fat, they will become fat. So with EFT, we address these hurtful issues and with self acceptance are able to develop a more realistic body image which enables a person to reduce weight.

Improve Self-Esteem

Further to the above, self-esteem goes hand and hand with body image. Perhaps a person feels stupid and therefore unworthy which results in over eating and then overweight. And once a person becomes overweight, they feel even worse about themselves and it becomes a negative downward spiral. EFT can successfully unravel all of these issues and more.

To learn more about EFT from Master Practitioner Carol Look and to find out How to Lose Weight with EFT, check out How to Lose Weight with EFT. Enjoy 5 hours of recorded audio as Carol guides listeners through numerous issues contributing to overweight including food cravings, low self-esteem, poor body image, stress and overwhelm.

Laura Whitelaw is a Certified ZPoint and EFT-CC practitioner. If you want to learn more about EFT, visit Overcome Addiction with EFT.
